another week already? The older you are, the faster time flies.

This week they were notifying the winners of the Artisan Awards. My stuff got there a day late, and logically, I knew that, but a teeny little part of me was hoping they would include it in with the other the applicants. I could just hear them saying, "Wow! this stuff is too great not to include!"

Needless to say, I didn't get a call.

AND I would love to show you all everything that I made, because I think they were AWESOME! (and I need the validation), but SU! won't let me until convention. Which doesn't happen until the first week in Aug. Come on over and I can show you but I can't put them on here or my SU! website :(

I've been stamping lately so I'll have some new stuff to show this weekend. I've been feeling patriotic with 4th of July on the horizon. I need to focus on Father's Day though.

Hopefully I'll have pics tomorrow.

You Rock, Mr. Freiberg!

Howdy people in stampingland! I'm so happy its Friday, and a 3 day weekend too! I hope you have some wonderful big plans for yourself. Me? Well, I have a date with my weeds. If you have nothing else to do, then come on over and help. I'll feed you :)

So this week was Teacher Appreciation Week at Grace's school. We donated homemade peanut butter cookies to their luncheon and then we made her teacher this little bowl of goodies:

He is crazy about Angles Baseball and while I would have loved to have given him tickets to a game, I just couldn't swing that. So we gave him a family movie night:

A $5 gift card for a movie from Blockbuster, a six pack of IBC Rootbeer, Red Vines, Gummi Bears, popcorn, and his fave, M&M's. Cost me less than $20 bucks and I'm sure his family will love it.

Check out the cool card I made him:

I typed up the "All Star teacher" on the computer and then just cut it into a banner. I used a bamboo skewer for the stick. Cute, no? I used the Independence Day set for all the stars and a retired star eyelet for the middle.
Grace wrote a nice little note to go inside. I did too. We are very lucky to have Mr. F for her teacher this year. He is so patient and kind and Lord knows she needs that.
So go forth and have fun this weekend. And if you know any teachers, tell them thanks.

I'm so glad its done! I kinda feel like I'm on vacation now with no looming deadlines. It was so fun though and I would do it again. The best part is that they got there on time! I was kinda sweatin' it there.

So of course I have nothing new to show you. I'm going to go work on that right now. bye

Happy Mother's Day

These are the flowers my hubby gave me this morning. They smell so good. They did come from the neighbor's yard but thats okay. At least he thought of something and she doesn't care if we "borrow" flowers from time to time. I have great neighbors. I have a great husband.

this is a different kind of Mother's day. My family went to visit my inlaws and left me here alone. I have conflicting feelings about this.

  1. YAY! I'm alone for a change
  2. wow, I'm alone on mothers day
  3. YAY! think of all I can get done
  4. i wish i had gone with them

I actually had told them to go without me. I'm still not done with this Display stamper stuff and have a hard time creating when they are here. Because, (if you're a mom you understand this) they never leave me alone! I'm forever interrupted and I'm a slow stamper anyway. So I'm getting a few hours of solitude.

So what am I doing on here? I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day.

Display stamper stuff has to be in the mail by Thursday so maybe I'll actually get this blog thing going and post more often.
