memories and an update

So, we worked our patooties off over the weekend.  Thats good, keeps me out of trouble.  Usually.

I cleaned out my desk of all the stuff that is retiring.  Paper, ink, ribbon, brads, buttons, etc.   All kinds of stuff.  I also had to clean out my part of the garage.  Lots of stuff there too.

I was going through all the cards we've made in the past, and it brought back such good memories.  I could remember each one.  We've made some really cute cards in the past.

So guess what?  We are going to have a garage sale.  I hate having garage sales.  Love going to them, but hate having them.  This time though, I'm going to set up my own little Stampin' Up! section.  Complete with new catty make 'n' take.  Sounds like fun huh?  Its going to be this Saturday, the 3rd.  I know, its right before 4th of July and people will be gone.  But you can't stop the Energizer Bunny, remember?

Thursday I will have a separate page linked to the blog that will show each set I have and the cost (majorly cheap.  I'm talking major) and what condition it is in.  If you cannot come on Saturday then please just shoot me an email with what you want and I'll ship it to you.

Here is the other most fun part, for every purchase, I'll be giving out goodie bags!  Yep, you heard me.  Goodie bags just chock full of fun stuff.  I have so many 1/2 spools of ribbon or 1/2 packs of DSP or 1/2 packs of cardstock, retired ink pads, brads, eyelets (lots of eyelets), catalogs, etc. that I thought it would be fun to make up surprise goodie bags.  Fun huh?  I thought so.

Here is one of the cards I found that we made, I don't even know how many years ago.  Since 4th of July is coming up I thought it was appropriate.

I don't remember the name of the set.  I do remember that it wasn't mine.  We used the baby wipe technique. Boy, my stamping has come a long way!

For the baby wipe technique, you put reinker on a baby wipe and use that as your stamp pad.  For this card though, we folded up the baby wipe and placed reinker on the folded edge.  Then swiped it on the glossy cardstock.  America the Beautiful!

Okay, I know you've been waiting.  You've been waiting right?  Well, just pretend then.

Red Bell peppers that I though were never going to grow and stay on the plant.  They kept falling off.  Hopefully she'll just keep growing.

Yellow squash!  I'm so excited for these. This plant is from seeds!  I'm so proud.

cherry tomato.   This was the first one that started growing.   I can't wait to eat it!

Zucchini.  See those little babies?  These are from the second batch we planted.  The dogs ruined the first plants.

The lettuce is also going like gangbusters. The green bell pepper and the Anaheim chilis are blooming like crazy but then the whole bud falls off.  What am I doing wrong?  The cucumber is doing okay.  No babies yet though.

This weekend we also planted more green beans (dogs ruined what I had), more carrots and sunflowers. Hopefully by next week we'll little green babies coming up.

Thanks for listening to my garden updates.  I'm having so much fun with it.  Yep, I'm a dork.

Alrighty, I'll have more tags to show you tomorrow.  The Bachelorette is coming on so I gotta go.

Thanks for stopping by.  You make me happy.

Blessings, b.
